Hey guys! I hope everyone has been enjoying the summer weather! I have definitely been enjoying the sun since school has ended and have just had the craziest past week. For this reason I don’t have a DIY project for you today, but I do have some exciting news to share with you all..
Not only did I graduate from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Design Degree last week..
I also got ENGAGED!! We were so overwhelmed by so many loving and excited messages, phone calls, texts and FaceTime calls. It was crazy!! I think I cried for 5 hours straight after Tyler proposed. So you can see why I’ve been caught up in a whirlwind of excitement with telling friends and family and of course starting to plan!
I created this site so that I could have a place to display and advertise my work, but I created the blog so that I could share some of the fun DIY projects I do with everyone. The whole purpose of my blog is to keep it fun and flexible so that it doesn’t ever feel like work, but is more just related to whatever is going on in my life. With that being said, and I’m sure you’ve already guessed this, wedding DIYs are coming at KJH Creative in full force. Tyler and I only got engaged last week, but we already have a date set for August 2018, and are planning to have our wedding outdoors at a place that holds a lot of meaning to us. Of course I will be creating all my own stationery and most of the decor. No surprise that I have lots of plans for many more DIY projects. I also have a couple posts prepared about some of the wedding gifts I have been making for friends getting married this summer (although I won’t be able to post about them until after their weddings of course).
While I typically try to post every second Monday, I already have a post planned for next Monday ( June 19) to show you guys how I popped the question to my beautiful bridesmaids to be! I’m so excited to be starting this journey and sharing it with everyone!
